I can tell you from personal experience that always getting attacked every time you exit the pod can be a real annoyance. My advice is to first check out your immediate area. Your pod will always start in a random location within the Shallows biome. The Shallows biome is located roughly in the center of the map. Is there a map or can someone explian how many spawn points there are for your lifepod when beginning a new game please? Every starting point in every game mode begins in the Shallows biome.
